Plus précisément voici ce que disait DVDFile disait de la récente édition Anchor Bay (identique à la zone 2):
"The transfer is unfortunately disappointing, but the packaging and extras are really fun. Though the $49.95 list price is a bit steep fro the Book Of the Dead collectible version, you do get a few extras not on the straight SE, but you'll save about $30 bucks. So unless you are a total diehard, I'd go with the standard edition, or better yet, find the old Elite version which has a better transfer but retains most of the extras."

Mais DVD Maniacs n'est pas tout à fait d'accord:
"The movie is given a new anamorphic (1.85) widescreen transfer from the original negative. The film has some light grain thought-out, but that is expected due to its 16 mm origins. Some have complained about Anchor Bay's decision to matte the movie to the ratio it was shown in the theaters. There does appear to be some shots that are noticeably cropped, but this new ratio really helps with tighten the action and for it to look as good does here also improves upon the movie."

Et Horror DVD en rajoute une couche:
"Now, while some people are up in arms about the missing visual information, I noticed that the composition didn't suffer at all."

tout en mettant un bémol:
"I compared this DVD to both the previous Elite disc and the older Japanese Laserdisc. This new Anchor Bay disc polishes up the rather washed-out look of the older discs, but that's not always a good thing. Any of the outdoor scenes at night are marred by the extremely bad matting of the moon. I had never noticed this before until seeing the new transfer. I've gone back and looked for it on the other discs, and while it's there, it's nowhere near as pronounced. In fact, I definitely preferred the deeper black levels on previous releases, but the new DVD provides more detail. It's really hard to say which one is better overall, as they both have their respective merits. I like this new disc, but I'm not getting rid of my old copies. "
Ce qui m'avait décidé, c'était le prix :-)
